The homepage of IQ.Wiki is a crucial component of the website as it serves as the first point of contact for users who visit the site. Therefore, it is essential to create a homepage that is visually appealing, easy to use, and provides a clear introduction to the site's mission and offerings.
To achieve this, we carefully iterated through several design concepts before arriving at the final version. We analyzed the old site (Everipedia.org), which helped us identify around six primary sections with varying amounts of content. This analysis allowed us to streamline and unify these sections, providing intuitive navigation and a cohesive user interface.
Our goal was to optimize the user experience and create a compelling and engaging experience for visitors. We wanted visitors to be able to quickly navigate the site and find the information they needed with ease. The final version of the homepage is designed to achieve this goal by providing clear and concise content, intuitive navigation, and a visually appealing design.
As mentioned previously, the design of the homepage underwent multiple iterations before arriving at its current state. It was decided that we needed two modes, light and dark, to increase accessibility.
Since its launch, the homepage has undergone several reviews and iterations to improve the user experience of the site.
The second section of the homepage contains a table that ranks IQ Wiki's wikis according to marketCap, with a focus on NFTs and cryptocurrencies. This data includes interesting details like prices, marketcaps, blockchain technology, founders, and founding dates. We recognized the value of having this data on the homepage, as it provides a quick glance at what the wikis are about and also navigates to the main wiki pages for the specific NFT or Cryptocurrency for users who need detailed information.
The rest of the homepage, which includes Wiki categories and tag clouds, remained the same, as they are still very relevant to iq.wiki.
However, as with any website, there is always room for improvement. The team will continue to analyze user feedback and iterate on the design to ensure that the website remains an intuitive and engaging resource for users.
Future iterations may include additional features and functionality to enhance the user experience further. The team will also monitor emerging trends in web design and technology to ensure that IQ.Wiki remains up-to-date and relevant.
